JOIN A WORKING GROUP
PIF working groups provide a forum for members to collaborate based on areas of shared expertise or interest. Working groups typically meet monthly by Zoom and share information and ideas through an email distribution list. Most working groups have PIF member co-leads, and all of them have PIF staff contacts who can orient you to the mission. Our working groups include:
- Communications (Contact): Develops PIF’s communication strategy and materials.
- Community Education (Contact): Shares best practices and approaches on how to educate and empower immigrant families.
- Federal Advocacy (Contact): Develops and advances legislative and administrative policy change strategies.
- Policy and Legal Analysis (Contact): Provides technical analysis of proposed and implemented policy changes.
- Research (Contact): Convenes researchers working on issues connected to PIF’s agenda, and identifies research needs. Makes data accessible to advocates, policymakers, and the public.
- State Policy (Contact): Provides analysis and develops strategies to mitigate the effect of federal policy changes and advance state and local reforms that improve safety net access.
