In recent months, lies about immigrants' use of child care funding, Medicaid, SNAP, and other programs have been used to justify disruptions and cuts in Congressionally-appropriated funding, fuel attacks against service providers, weaken public benefits programs, and justify sweeping immigration enforcement.
