Context
When disaster strikes, immigrant families are often left out of recovery operations because of lack of language access, confusion about eligibility, and concerns about engagement with Department of Homeland Security staff. Everyone has a right to emergency response and should have access to support to recover.
Materials
PIF and partners have developed a one-page factsheet and additional promotional materials that help immigrant families navigate access to disaster response and recovery programs, addressing specific concerns about eligibility, immigration status, and mixed-status families.
